China has a vast territory and the scale of power grid has occupied the world. High voltage, ultra-high voltage and even ultra-high voltage transmission lines crisscross. Large scale trans regional power transmission is a major feature of China's power grid system, which has realized huge energy migration and provided guarantee for power consumption in the central and eastern regions. However, every link in the large power grid is closely connected and closely related. The tide is surging and unpredictable, and it is very difficult to ensure operation. Once any small chain breaks, it may cause a huge disturbance, or even cause turbulence or paralysis of the entire network. According to statistics, the annual power grid outage accidents are mainly caused by line accidents.

As early as more than ten years ago, people have realized the importance of transmission line operation status monitoring, but due to the limitation of technical level, they can only rely on manual line patrol.

In recent years, with the rapid development of communication sensor technology, a large number of transmission line online monitoring products have been applied in practical projects, such as line icing, galloping, sag, tower tilt, settlement and hardware temperature measurement. However, these product systems are isolated from each other and operate on isolated islands. Data cannot be integrated and shared to generate new value.

2、 Deep perception and intelligent analysis, more "smart" line operation

The distributed monitoring terminal of transmission line is one of the research focuses of the project. It is a sensing terminal that realizes the function of abnormal location and diagnosis of the line. The distributed installation of conductors and real-time acquisition of traveling wave signals in the conductors can provide information on the location of abnormal points through the extraction, analysis and processing of abnormal traveling wave signals through the central station system. At the same time, waveform comparison based on the self-learning information base can accurately determine the cause of the abnormality, Guide the operation, maintenance and emergency repair of the line. Since 2018, the monitoring terminal has been promoted and applied to more than 100 transmission lines in more than 10 provinces and cities, including Xinjiang, Shaanxi, Anhui, Jiangsu, Beijing, Liaoning, Hebei, covering 110kV-1000kV voltage levels. In July 2018, the system accurately monitored the non lightning strike fault of Beijing 110kV Lunie Line, and the fault location error provided was only 66 meters.

The system realizes the ubiquitous access and flexible deployment of the above monitoring terminals and other wire, tower, weather and many other online monitoring products through micro power wireless networking technology, security container technology, etc. One IOT agent device can simultaneously achieve safe, efficient and stable access of 50-60 terminals of all types. According to the on-site operation and maintenance personnel, after the successful online operation of the distributed intelligent sensing system of the transmission line in the 110kV Lishui Nanmen substation, more than 10 kinds of original intelligent sensing devices on the site have realized standardized access through the unified interface provided by the system platform, and the systematic monitoring effect has also initially emerged.

In addition, the integration of the concept of edge computing into the IOT agent is also a highlight of the system. The analysis, research and pre-processing of massive monitoring data nearby not only supports the local real-time processing and execution of some terminal services, greatly improves the processing efficiency, but also saves a lot of network bandwidth and reduces the processing load of the central station system. Each IOT agent device is configured with 20 standardized containers, which can support the application deployment of 400 edge computing apps. The data analysis and statistics app and disturbance data filtering app based on this architecture have been online. In order to prevent the occurrence of such information security accidents, the team made a special breakthrough on system security. The access data can introduce meteorological forecast, thunder, ice, wind, fire and other professional information, and form an all-round visualization system by deep integration with the three-dimensional GIS system, so as to realize the refined and layered early warning of the transmission line environment and give play to the comprehensive effectiveness of the anti risk command.
